Tuneshine: Live album art display

What a lovely way to augment my listening experience, seeing the album cover artwork appear like magic on this Lo-Fi LED display.

Easy to set up and feeling more polished than other mainstream devices I have “struggled” to link to a network of late.

I have 2 Tuneshine's and exclusively use them with Roon. I have 1 in an office and another in my lounge. The app is very well polished and allows me to control what plays where and when. They are both simple to setup and use. Fantastic kit 10/10 👍🏻

Das Tuneshine hat mich komplett umgehauen! Die Live-Album-Cover in Echtzeit auf diesem hochwertigen Display sind einfach ein Traum – besonders in meinem Nussbaum-Modell. Die Einrichtung war ein Kinderspiel, WLAN und Apple Music liefen sofort, und selbst das Firmware-Update klappte ohne Probleme. Musik hört sich plötzlich viel lebendiger an, wenn man das Cover dazu sieht.

Tobias hat sich von Anfang an super gekümmert. Trotz DHL-Problemen schnelle Lösung und immer freundlich. So sollte Kundenservice sein.

I bought the TuneShine primarily to display my album artwork, and overall I've been really impressed. The setup process was quick and straightforward, the app is easy to use, and the build quality is excellent. It looks fantastic and feels like a premium product.

The main reason I purchased it, though, was the newly announced WiiM integration. My primary music library is hosted on Plex and played through the WiiM app, but unfortunately the device doesn't load album artwork at all when using Plex as the music source. In contrast, album art displays perfectly when streaming Spotify through the WiiM app, so I've been using Spotify in the meantime. I hope Wiim support is improved in a future update to include Plex syncronization, as that would make the experience complete for my setup.

Despite that limitation, I'm still giving it 5 stars instead of 4. I've had the opportunity to interact with the creator a few times, and it's clear he is passionate about the product and genuinely interested in expanding support for more open and local music ecosystems. That gives me confidence that Plex compatibility both within the WiiM integration and as it's very own integration. Whenever that happens in the future, it would easily make it the perfect album art display for my setup. Until then, it's still a beautifully made device backed by a developer who seems committed to making it even better.
