Tuneshine: Live album art display

when it works, it's pretty cool. i like the design. the low fidelity screen is a great vibe.

but it generally doesn't work often enough, and this is when this thing becomes a weirdly significant irritant in my home. whatever problem the thing has, it is constantly blinking and flashing at me about it, and i cannot state enough how disproportionate this consequence is compared to the relative joy this device offers me. it is like a wailing baby. and sometimes, like a baby, it will decide to do this song and dance in the middle of the night. i have mine in my bedroom, so it wakes me up. pleeeeease shut the fuck up oh my god. my life is so much better not having this thing working 100% than it is having this in my life with it working even a generous 90%. so unfortunately as much as i'd like the vibe around, it is in practice a detriment to my overall life.

I saw an ad on Instagram a few weeks ago and thought this was neat but I didn’t act on it. I saw it again later and that second look made me want to know more. I rarely stream music from my phone because my HomePods play automatically when I return home. I assumed this setup would require extra steps, but it functions smoothly, and I haven’t opened the app again since installation.
I was delighted. It integrated effortlessly into my existing system and simply became part of the home. It truly enhances the room’s atmosphere.

What a cool piece of art!! It is very satisfying when listening to music to be able to look up and see that song’s album art! A wonderful phenomenon is losing one’s self into discovering more about that musical artist’s body of work.
Tuneshine is one of my most favorite gadgets around. Simply works seamlessly with major audio streamers. I love Tuneshine.

Its a super cool gadget! Setup took a few tries, a firmware update and adjusting some if my wireless settings (I have an Asus Mesh Network) so that 2.4ghz used Legacy mode. Which is fine because most of the IoT devices use 2.4 anyway and dont require high bandwidth. If you run into trouble with the order or setup the creator is super responsive, friendly and helpful. I emjoy the animation that turns the cover art
Into a “spinning record” catches more eyes.

What a lovely way to augment my listening experience, seeing the album cover artwork appear like magic on this Lo-Fi LED display.

Easy to set up and feeling more polished than other mainstream devices I have “struggled” to link to a network of late.
